Effective date: August 5, 2026
TAD-PAK ("Track Any Device", "we", "us", "our") provides real-time GPS tracking hardware and software for personal, family, and fleet use across Pakistan. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how it's used and stored, and the choices you have. It applies to our website, mobile apps, tracking devices, and the "my" customer portal.
This document is operated by [Proprietor Legal Name — sole proprietor], trading as Track Any Device ("TAD-PAK", "we", "us", "our"). [Placeholder — replace with your registered business/proprietor details, including registered address, before publishing or submitting for platform verification (e.g. Meta Business Verification).]
Information we collect
Account information
- Phone number — used as your login identity and verified by one-time passcode (OTP) sent over SMS. We do not use passwords.
- Name, date of birth (optional), and profile photo, if you choose to add them.
- Delivery address and order details, if you purchase a device through our shop (cash-on-delivery).
Device and location information
- Real-time and historical GPS location (latitude/longitude, speed, heading) reported by devices registered to your account.
- Device identifiers — IMEI, SIM/GSM number, device type, and the connectivity protocol it uses.
- Battery level, signal strength, and online/offline status.
- Trips (start/end points and routes), geofence ("beat") boundaries you define, and violations of those boundaries.
- Safety alerts you or a device trigger — e.g. SOS, low battery, device offline, exclusion-zone entry — and the location history attached to that alert.
Communications
- SMS messages exchanged with our gateway — used to deliver OTP codes, device configuration commands, and account/incident notifications.
- WhatsApp messages exchanged with our official WhatsApp Business number — used to deliver notifications (trip/incident alerts, order updates) and to provide customer support. WhatsApp messaging is provided using Meta’s WhatsApp Business Platform; see "Third parties" below.
- Support tickets and any information you provide when contacting us.
Fleet / business (B2B) data
If you use TAD-PAK as an organisation, we also process the data your organisation submits about its fleet, drivers, and team members who are given access to your organisation’s devices, to the extent your organisation authorizes.
How we use your information
- To provide the core tracking service — showing device location, trip history, and sending alerts you’ve configured.
- To authenticate you (OTP over SMS) and secure your account.
- To fulfil device orders and coordinate cash-on-delivery.
- To send time-sensitive notifications over SMS or WhatsApp (e.g. SOS alerts, device offline, order status) and to respond to support requests.
- To detect and prevent misuse, fraud, and abuse of the platform.
- To improve reliability — e.g. diagnosing connectivity issues per device/protocol.
We do not sell your personal information or location data to third parties, and we do not use your location data for third-party advertising.
How long we keep data
- Personal (non-fleet) account and location history is generally retained for up to 90 days on our central platform for service continuity, after which routine location telemetry is pruned.
- Incident locations (SOS and safety-alert events) are kept longer — up to 1 year — since they may be needed for safety review or dispute resolution.
- Fleet/organisation customers may run on dedicated infrastructure that retains their own tracking history under a separate retention arrangement agreed with that organisation.
- Account, order, and support records are kept as long as your account is active, and for a reasonable period after closure to meet legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution obligations.
Third parties we share data with
We work with the following categories of service providers to operate TAD-PAK. Each only receives the data needed to perform its function, under their own applicable privacy terms:
- Meta Platforms, Inc. — WhatsApp Business Platform, used to send and receive WhatsApp messages on our behalf. Meta processes the phone number and message content exchanged over WhatsApp in accordance with Meta’s own Privacy Policy and WhatsApp Business terms.
- SMS gateway / telecom providers — deliver OTP codes and SMS notifications.
- Cloud infrastructure and CDN providers — host our servers, databases, and website.
- Payment/delivery partners — where applicable, to fulfil cash-on-delivery orders.
We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect the rights and safety of our users, or in connection with a business transfer (e.g. merger or acquisition), subject to this policy continuing to apply to your data.
Your choices and rights
- You can view and update your profile information from the "my" portal at any time.
- You can request a copy of, or the deletion of, your personal data and account by contacting us — see below. Deleting your account will stop location tracking for devices tied to it.
- You can stop receiving WhatsApp messages from us at any time by blocking our business number or replying "stop"; you can opt out of non-essential SMS in your notification settings. Time-critical safety alerts (e.g. SOS) may still be delivered where you’ve configured a device to send them.
Tracking family members, employees, or other people
TAD-PAK’s person-tracker devices are designed for legitimate, consensual use — for example, a parent tracking a minor child, or an employer tracking a company-owned vehicle or device with their employee’s knowledge. You are responsible for having the appropriate legal right and, where required by law, the consent of the person being tracked before placing a device with them. Do not use TAD-PAK to covertly track another adult without their knowledge or consent.
Security
We apply reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including OTP-based authentication (no stored passwords), encrypted transport for API traffic, and role-based access controls on our internal tools. No system is 100% secure, and we can’t guarantee absolute security.
Children
Our accounts are intended to be opened and operated by adults (18 or older). A minor’s location may be tracked by a parent/guardian through a device assigned to that minor, but the account itself belongs to the adult who registered it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date at the top of this page.
